Chilly olde London



Last weekend's fair in honor of the years when the Thames froze seemed an exercise in nostalgia, since the river last froze in 1814. This week, with the Sun keeping bankers' hours, the temperature hovering around freezing, and constant fog, the conditions in Dickens' classic story are easier to imagine.
